“For a number of years now, I’ve been a volunteer doing marine mammal rescue at the California Wildlife Center. We do mostly sea lions and elephant seal pups, with the occasional baby harbor seal (as seen in this picture). Oh, and birds too -- pelicans, cormorants and grebes mostly. This is one of my greatest pleasures in life, on so many levels.”
